Start from Delhi if you are a foodie: Foods to die for in Delhi–Chaats @Connought Place and Karol Bag…most lipsmacking stuff for Rs.50/- to 100/-   –Paranthas @Paranthewali gali and @Moolchand flyover near Andrewsganj…unbelievable things they do with paranthas for Rs.50/- to 150/- —Seekh Kebabs (Lucknowi style) and tandoori food @Jama Masjid road Old Delhi for Rs.100/- to 200/-  ….Historical and Traditional sweet shops @Chandni Chowk – Chaina Ram Sindhi confectioners and Ghantewala Halwai which have stood the test of time from centuries

–Momos @Chanakyapuri (Yeshwant Place)….with about 25 Momo shops in a neat singular line with a wide boulevard to sit, close a wine shop you couldn’t have asked for more

Best mode of travel within Delhi:

  • While exploring Old Delhi is cycle rickshaw…maximum expenditure for half a day’s exploration is Rs.100/-
  • While exploring Connaught Place and Karol Bagh is local buses which run like every 10 minutes from Ring Road busy points…may need to take autorickshaw from closest bus stand to the exact spot…maximum expenditure for half a day’s exploration is Rs. 250/- to 300/-
  • Travelling to Chankyapuri and Moolchand flyover, local bus frequency is not as good as for Connaught Place…so it may cost like 300/- to 400/- to travel there from Railway station to and fro
  • From the air port, an AC DTC bus can be boarded for Rs. 150 from Air port to AIIMS.

Take an Innova or board an AC/Non AC bus from ISBT Delhi to Shimla, Reckong, Manali, Dharamsala, Chamba

Take a train or bus directly to Chandigarh and rent a motorbike from there to HP or Uttarakhand

Mesmerizing tales are formed on these roads:

  • Chandigarh to Reckong
  • Chandigarh to Uttarakhand via Shimla and Rohru
  • Chandigarh to Lahaul Spiti via Manali
  • Chandigarh to Dharamsal-Dalhousie
  • Dharamsala to Bir Billing to Barot
